RMT 92313 O Amtrak Bang S-4 Diesel Switcher #746 – Model Train Junction: Quality Parts and Art Supplies

Here is a RMT 92313 O Amtrak Bang S-4 Diesel Switcher #746 in the distinctive silver mist with red/black lettering and logo. Includes the Operation Lifesaver logo that was applied to at least 1 AMTRAK diesel locomotive. AMTRAK did roster a few ALCO S-2/4 diesel switchers after startup in 1971. They were used primarily at the Auto-Train facility in Lorton, VA and also at Washington Union Station to replace ALCO RS-1 diesels. They were all subsequently retired after a short while.

This item features plastic body construction, dual motors, engineer figure, metal handrails, directional headlights, and rear marker lights. Please see my pictures for additional features.
