Lionel 773 Vintage O 4-6-4 Hudson Steam Locomotive -1950 Version VG – Model Train Junction: Quality Parts and Art Supplies

Here is the great Lionel 773 4-6-4 Hudson Steam Locomotive from the Postwar Era. This engine was based on the legendary 700E Scale Hudson and is a less detailed version intended for use on regular Lionel O-31 track. It features a smoke unit (not present on the 700E), Magnetraction. It only ran for two years (1950 and 1964), but it was clearly the top of the line locomotive in Lionel’s steam roster. Here is a great chance to own one of the great engines of the Postwar Era. This is the 1950 version.

Known as the Baltic in Europe and the Hudson in North America, the 4-6-4 was introduced in the early 20th century finding success in hauling freight and as a shunting model. Their use would initially find great success on North American railways before eventually becoming mainstays in rail-yards around the world!

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. Here is your chance to add some diversity to your O gauge layout! This Vintage Steam Locomotive is still in great shape and is ready to join your collection. One of the marker jewels broken off but is included. There are heavy scratches, nicks and texture in the paint throughout this locomotive. The paint on the cab roof is cracked a bit. The side rods are dirty and discolored. There is wear and tarnish on the wheels & pickups from previous use. The underframe and axles show dirt residue and a bit of oil residue. This item has been inspected by our repair shop.
