Here is a Lionel 6-38351 O Gauge Union Pacific GP-7 Diesel Engine #1038 from the Archive Collection. Shown in the 1955 advance catalog as #2028 but never produced, an early toy fair prototype was made by Lionel as #1038. This engine features a plastic body construction with a metal chassis, transformer controlled forward, neutral, and reverse operation, pullmor motor, directional headlights on both ends, electronic diesel horn and bell, die-cast metal trucks ,pilot, and fuel tank, Magne-Traction, tractions tires, illuminated cab interior, and operating knuckle couplers.
