This is a Lionel 31773 Norfoklk Southern Dash 9 TankTrain Set.Theyre back again in a new set and paint scheme. Scale-sized, interconnecting TankTrain tank cars by Lionel, pulled for the first time by a LEGACY-equipped locomotive. Using a system of interlinking hoses and valves, TankTrain cars are all connected for efficiency. This system allows liquid to be loaded or unloaded from just one end of a TankTrain string, at a rate of 3,000 gallons per minute!
This Lionel train set features a string of five TankTrain cars headed by a scale-sized black beauty – the Norfolk Southern Dash 9 #9039, equipped with LEGACY Command Control, Odyssey II Speed Control, and LEGACY RailSounds. Each tank car features many separately applied details, such as piping and walkways. In the tradition of modern caboose-less railroading, an End-of-Train Device is mounted on the rear of the B-end car.
