At the push of a lever, the entire bridge span pivots at its mid-point, allowing boat traffic to pass below. Push the lever again and watch the bridge swing the rails back in line so that the awaiting fast freight train can barrel across the river. Twelve navigation lights below the bridge warn vessels passing below of the bridge’s position. It also features a powerful maintenance free motor, metal span, and it includes 12 trestle piers to reach pier height.
