Lionel 2353 Vintage Santa Fe F-3 AA Diesel Locomotive Set #2353 VG – Model Train Junction: Quality Parts and Art Supplies

Here is a Lionel 2353 Vintage Santa Fe F-3 AA Diesel Locomotive Set (1 powered & 1 dummy) #2353. Introduced in 1953, the 2353s were the successors to the 2343 Santa Fe F-3s. The 2353s differed in having no screen roof vents and no front handrails. These locomotives feature a battery operated horn, lights, die cast metal trucks, operating knuckle couplers on the front of both locomotives and fixed knuckle couplers on the rear, magnatraction and metal wheels and axles.

This item has been graded per TCA standards C-6: Very Good based on visual appearance. There are nicks, scratches, and spots of surface rust on these locomotives. One unit is missing all portholes. The other unit has a couple yellowed portholes and two that are not original. A couple large scratches in the bodies are visible on their sides. Spots of paint wear, chips, and rub marks are present throughout their surfaces and underframes. This item has been inspected by our repair shop. Please see the attached picture for inspection details and additional operation information. Horn relay doesn’t operate. The instruction manuals and original boxes are not included with these items.
